The "Grandeur and Misfortune of Nicolas Fouquet" Exhibition at Vaux-le-Vicomte castle

This exhibition, housed in part of the state apartment and the basement of the castle, recounts the main moments in the life of Nicolas Fouquet from his dazzling ascension and his attachment to the Arts until the end of his life in Pignerol.
Relive the different stages of his life through a surprising mise en scène: mannequins in period costume, astonishing technical effects that create a surprise in each room, thus enabling the visitor to follow the course of History and better understand the tragedy experienced by Louis XIV’s Superintendant of Finance.

The "Rando des 3 Châteaux" (3 Castle Trek)

Last year, more than 10,000 people, amateur or experienced hikers, attended this trek between three prestigious castles: Fontainebleau, Vaux le Vicomte and Blandy les Tours. A journey of between 8 and 40 kilometres, which can be divided as wished, exploring the heritage of the Seine-et-Marne.
Organised by the General Council, the Seine-et-Marne Departmental Committee for Hiking and Seine-et-Marne Tourism, the suggested routes, which focus on an exceptional heritage of national interest in a close geographic perimeter, aim to combine heritage and nature, two major themes for Seine-et-Marne.
